Bridgeward Grove is a story of rural Australia. A long standing farming family
combined with a theatrical and arts family has become a destination that has been created by its custodians Peter and Julie Howard who have lived on the property for the past 36 years.
The love of the olive tree for their symbolism of peace and endurance became the catalyst for the beginning of Bridgeward Grove. Peter and Julie Howard are keen to uphold the offer of the olive branch as essential to their enterprise.
In 2011 after the biggest harvest ever the farm gate outlet and conservatory were built. Here the processing of olives, oils, olive products and various seasonal preserves sourced from our orchard have been perfected, the range sold at markets, our local Information Centres and at the farm gate outlet in Goornong.
At Bridgeward Grove our vision is to be a destination where local, inter-state and international visitors, tourists, families and passers by discover an authentic unique experience. Here visitors have opportunities to learn the Indigenous history as discovered by the Howard Family, watch a unique marionette performance called “Swagman’s Luck”, appreciate works of arts, hold private functions, attend special events and enjoy and buy olives, olive products and preserves.
